We were delighted to be invited to upgrade the existing AV system in the Victorian ballroom conference venue at Wonford House on the Royal Devon and Exeter site.
It gave us our first opportunity to install a new lower cost touch screen room control system, which brings together the operational controls of all of the audio visual display and sound equipment.
We were also asked to provide a full surround sound audio and Bluray system to enhance the rooms use as an entertainment venue for patients in the building's mental health unit.
Both the customer and ourselves were pleased with the result which give control of the room setup from a single 10" touch screen. By selecting one of three modes- Speech, Presentation or Movie, the client can automatically switch on and control the necessary equipment for those functions without being presented with controls or buttons that may be confusing or not applicable.
The result is a facility that meets the clients original brief of being used by multiple groups with the minimum of training or intervention from technical staff.
